Veja’s Parisian retail project Centre Commercial has launched its very own in-house publication, aptly dubbed Centre Commercial Magazine. Making its debut for Fall/Winter 2013, the first issue of the advertisement-free magazine boasts 172 pages of international coverage and seeks to explore topics which are too often “invisible to the eyes.” As such, issue #1 includes interviews with Michael Williams of A Continuous Lean and Alexandre Guarneri of Homecore, a report on “cold water” surfers, a focus piece on Brooklyn-based leather bag crafter Chris Grodzki, a visit to a Finnish nuclear waste site, and an exploration of the Lykov family – a collective that lived for four decades in the thick of the Russian Taiga without any contact with the modern world. The first issue of the bi-annual, French Centre Commercial Magazine is now available online for €15 EUR (approximately $20 USD).
