Lard – lard – traditionally used for cooking instead of oil or butter throughout Eastern and Central Europe, and recently I presented it in Belgium, as quite a local specialty. In addition, from smaltsa turns unique намазка for bread, once you, it will be difficult to stop. Finally, lard, especially without additives kept practically forever, so this product, if not indispensable, it will definitely be useful to any kitchen. We will look at different ways of cooking smaltsa – and for frying, and for that very spreads.

Ingredients
1 jar
500 g pork lard
if you wish:
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 tsp. dried marjoram
salt
black pepper

Regardless of how you intend to use lard, bacon should be carefully rid of the remains of meat and cut off the skin (if any). It would be appropriate to leave the fat on the night in a cold, slightly salted water: write that it allows to remove the remnants of blood (although we know that the blood in the meat, and especially in the fat, and so does not remain).

Lard for frying
